How did Louisville's Cloth Diaper Delivery Service get
it's start?
The Diaper Fairy, Louisville's Cloth Diaper Delivery Service, is owned and operated by Louisville native mom, Emily. She and her husband, Dave, are the parents of Camille, now five years old.
As new parents (who were living in St. Louis at the time), they were interested in cloth diapering for several reasons: reducing landfill waste, the health of their baby's skin and following a commitment to living a greener life. They learned that with a service, cloth diapering can be as easy as disposables. Camille was in cloth diapers as an infant and toddler. She never had a case of diaper rash and potty-trained at 2 1/2 years old.
When her family moved home from St. Louis, Emily saw a need for a Louisville-based cloth diaper delivery service because, simply, there wasn't one! Did you know Louisville is on the Top 10 cities in the United States who is investigating and seeking information about cloth diapers? More over, it's the only city on the list that didn't have a service!
She believed more Louisville and Southern Indiana families would ultimately choose cloth diapers if the laundering was done for them. And with magic, The Diaper Fairy landed!
Emily grew up in old Fern Creek, attended Seneca High School and Centre College in Danville, KY. Her family lives in the Highlands where you might see them on a bike ride or at the farmers market.
